The mission of the Franklin Youth Football Association (FYFA) is to provide a educational football experience for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
We work to develop qualities such as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, confidence & physical ability. Our intention is to provide each participant with the basic football techniques and the experience needed to prepare them for the next level of competition. They will gain these qualities and experiences through participation practice and games
FYFA is an independent, community volunteer program, that works together with the Franklin High School football program to insure athletes receive the necessary skills to advance their football careers to the high school level.
We believe these principles to be true, regardless of the ability of the individual and these goals and qualities will provide players with success on and off the playing field.
This is a full contact program with teams at the 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade levels. Participants are expected to learn an offensive & defensive position. The first week of practice will focus on conditioning - which is required for all participants. We are concerned for the physical safety of the participant. It is imperative players prepare themselves prior to the start of practice.
Participants will be given the opportunity to try out for any position.
Please remember - the needs of the team & the coaches skill assessments will determine the position that will be assigned to the participant.
