About Franklin Youth Football
Our Vision
The mission of the Franklin Youth Football Association (FYFA) is to provide a learning football experience for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
We will work to develop qualities such as teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, confidence & physical ability. It is our intention to provide each participant with the basic football techniques & experience needed to better prepare them for the next level of competition. They will gain these qualities and experiences through participation at both the practice and game level.
FYFA is an independent, community volunteer program, yet we will work together with the Franklin High School football program to insure the kids will receive the necessary skills they will need to advance their football careers at the high school level.
We believe these principles to be true, regardless of the ability of the individual and these goals and qualities will provide the kids success both on and off the playing field.
Dates To Remember
Coach Brown's Summer Conditioning - All boys entering grades 5-8. M/W/F June and July - specific days to follow (8am-9am - FHS Football Field) - a waiver is required and will be sent separately
Football Equipment Handout - July 13, FHS 12-2pm
5th-7th Grade Youth Football Camp - July 22-24 (9am-12pm - FHS Football Field) - registration link will be sent separately
8th grade Youth Football Camp - July 21-24 (3pm-5:30pm - FHS Football Field) - registration link will be sent separately
July 24: Football Camp Cookout (8th grade athletes/families) approximately 7pm following HS Camp - Franklin Football Field
August 3: Gridiron Club Golf Outing
August 4-7: First week of practice (Loc. TBD)
August 9: 5th Annual Football Kickoff (all grade levels 1-12) (Swaggers - 7220 W Rawson Ave) (5:30pm - ??)
August 11-14: Second week of practice (Loc. TBD)
August 16: Scrimmage at Mukwonago (5th-8th)
August 18-21: Third week of practice (Loc. TBD)
August 23: Scrimmage at Mukwonago (5th-8th)
August 25-28: Fourth week of practice (Loc. TBD)
August 29: Youth Night at the Varsity Home Game - opponent is Brookfield Central
September 2-4: Fifth week of practice (Loc. TBD - 1st game week - 3 days/week for rest of season)
September 6: First game of the season (scheduled to be finalized by AAYFL and released at a later date)
September 12: Varsity Home Game, Youth Players Line Walkway in (more info to follow)
September 26: Varsity Home Game, Youth Players Line Walkway in (more info to follow)
October 10: Varsity Home Game, Youth Players Line Walkway in (more info to follow)
November 2: Year End Celebration (Franklin High School Saber Center)
